Starting four behind the leader at the beginning of the 4th round, Herman went on a putting streak on the front nine, draining a 29-footer for birdie on the 1st hole and a 59-footer for an eagle on the par-5 fifth. Herman maintained his composure on the greens by sinking three more birdies on his way down the homestretch to finish one-stroke in front of his competitor and hoist the Sam Snead cup at the end of the round.
This is Herman’s 3rd PGA Tour win as he closed with a 7-under 63 to finish at 21-under and 259 total. This win brings Herman into the FedEx playoffs, jumping him from 192nd to 54th place and the opportunity to compete at the Northern Trust next weekend.
SuperStroke had a strong performance with 7 players in the top 10 at the Wyndham Championship along with the first-place winner on the Korn Ferry tour using a Pistol GT 1.0.
