Camilo Villegas Captures Two-stroke Victory at Bermuda Championship

Congratulations to resurgent and resilient PGA Tour star Camilo Villegas on his two-stroke victory and fifth-career PGA Tour win at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Villegas posted thrilling rounds of 67-63-65-65 to overcome a stacked leaderboard and earn $1.170 million in first place prize money.

Using a SuperStroke Tour 3.0 17” Off the Truck Series putter grip, Villegas led the tournament field in Birdies with 27 and tallied 1.63 Putts Per Green in Regulation (11th in the field). This was Villegas’ first PGA Tour win since the 2014 Wyndham Championship and took him from needing to qualify for PGA status through December’s PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry to now being fully exempt on the PGA Tour through 2025 and earning entry into the Players Championship, The Masters, The PGA Championship and select elevated events on the PGA Tour calendar.

“It’s with total joy and respect that we congratulate Camilo Villegas on his victory at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship and the culmination of an inspirational comeback journey,” says SuperStroke CEO Dean Dingman. “Camilo always plays with great flair and bravado and looked especially confident and in control of his game and his putting with his SuperStroke Tour 3.0 17” putter grip. The game is better off when Camilo is playing his best.”

At 6.4 inches longer than the standard grip, the Tour 3.0 17” Off the Truck Series grip offers golfers a range of unique benefits. Like any of SuperStroke’s extended length grips, the Tour 3.0 17” can be used to achieve an armlock setup by positioning the grip up the forearm.

Additionally, the Tour 3.0 17” grip can serve as a counterbalance option, extending the grip above the hands. This allows golfers to shift the weight above the hands and elevate the balance point of the putter, resulting in a more consistent stroke.

Tour Series putter grips feature SuperStroke's traditional and most popular putter grip profile. The Tour Series parallel design has a uniform lower hand profile to minimize grip pressure and maintain putter head path for a more consistent stroke.

SuperStroke grips are trusted by hundreds of top professional golfers. So far in 2023, SuperStroke users have won 66 tournaments on golf’s major professional tours, totaling more than $41 million in first-place prize money in those events.
