Congratulations to 31-year-old North Carolina native and Wofford University standout Andrew Novak on earning his second career PGA TOUR victory at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open by a staggering five strokes.
Having amassed a six-shot 54-hole tie lead with rounds of 67-61-62, he cruised to a dominant win with a final round 69 that was steadied by a clutch string of birdies on holes 12-14. Novak, who plays with a SuperStroke Zenergy Pistol 1.0 putter grip, led the field in Strokes Gained: Putting (8.191) and Strokes Gained: Total (16.438), averaging 1.57 Putts Per Green in Regulation on his way to holing 23 birdies and three eagles.
With this victory, Novak takes home the $1,080,000 winner’s purse and 500 FedExCup points.
