Congratulations to Michael Brennan, the 24-year-old Virginia native and former Wake Forest standout on earning his second PGA TOUR victory at the Wyndham Championship. Firing rounds of 66-65-63-64, Brennan finished 22-under-par – three strokes clear of his closest pursuer – to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs for the first time in his career.
Brennan, who plays with a Zenergy 2.0PT putter grip, led the field in Strokes Gained: Total (8.958) and 25 Birdies. His 22-under finish (258 total strokes) included consecutive birdies on holes four through eight in the final round to distance himself from a packed and charging field.
With this victory, he took home the $1.53 million winner’s purse and 500 FedExCup points.
