Congratulations to Nick Taylor on claiming his fifth career win after holing an eagle chip on the 72nd hole and then securing victory at the Sony Open with back-to-back birdies in a sudden-death playoff.
The 36-year-old Canadian pro fired rounds of 66-68-65-65 to earn his spot in the playoff on the strength of sterling ball striking and holing 83 feet of putts. Using a SuperStroke Zenergy Pistol Tour putter grip, he putted consistently all week, averaging 1.66 putts per hole.
Taylor led the field in Strokes Gained: Total (10.7) and earned $1.566 million along with 500 FedEx Cup Points and exemptions in the 2025 Masters, PGA Championship and all Signature events.
“Congratulations to Nick Taylor on his incredible come-from-behind win at the Sony Open,” said SuperStroke CEO Dean Dingman. “Nick has exceptional talent and a real flair for dramatic victories.
