Congratulations, Si Woo Kim on his victory at the 2020 PGA Tour event, The American Express.
Kim was playing a SuperStroke Traxion Tour 2.0.
Kim birdied two of the final three holes to finish an 8-under 64 Sunday. Kim buried a historic 19-foot birdie putt on #17, an island green nicknamed “Alcatraz”, securing the lead heading into the finishing hole. Kim calmly tapped in a 2-putt par to seal the win, making it his third bogey-free round of the tournament and to finish at 23-under 265.
His cool demeanor and steady stroke on the greens led him to rally past the co-leader by one shot to earn his third PGA Tour victory. This win marks Kim as the just the second PGA Tour player under 26 years old with three career wins.
SuperStroke had an exciting week and nearly swept all Tours with wins on the LPGA Tour at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions Presented by IOA using a 1.0PT; the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai on the PGA Champions Tour had the winner using a Pistol GT 2.0; and on the European PGA Tour, where a player briefly moved to within one shot of the lead with 9 holes to play
