Congratulations to 21-year-old PGA Tour rising star Tom Kim on defending his title and securing his third-career victory at the Shriners Children’s Open. Kim birdied four of the last 10 holes of the event on his way to a final-round 66 and a one-shot win. Kim earned $1.512 million in first place prize money.
Using a SuperStroke Zenergy Tour 1.0 putter grip, Kim gained 5.74 strokes on the field with his putting at the Shriners. He also tied for tops in the field in Birdies with 27 and tallied 1.63 Putts Per Green in Regulation (6th in the field). The victory pushed Kim into the top 15 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
“Congratulations to Tom Kim on winning for the third time in his young career at the Shriners Children’s Open,” says SuperStroke CEO Dean Dingman. “Tom pulled away from a crowded leaderboard and once again proved himself as a closer. He was clutch all week and especially down the stretch with his SuperStroke Zenergy Tour 1.0 putter grip. He’s fast becoming one of the most exciting players in the game.”
