SuperStroke is proud to be the presenting sponsor of this week’s R.E. Lamkin Invitational men’s college golf tournament at San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, Calif. The event has become a premier competition in collegiate golf, bringing together top teams from across the country to compete at a high level.
The University of San Diego and San Diego State University men’s golf programs are hosting the 2025 R.E. Lamkin Invitational, a 54-hole stroke-play event taking place March 10-11. The tournament begins with 36 holes of continuous play on Day 1, followed by the final 18 holes on Day 2. Spectators are welcome to attend. Teams will also participate in a practice round on Sunday, March 9.
Lamkin Golf Grips has sponsored the event for 17 years, helping to establish its reputation as a key tournament on the collegiate circuit. SuperStroke, which acquired Lamkin in the spring of 2024, is proud to continue the tradition and further its commitment to supporting the future of the game.

Last year, the University of San Diego men’s team won this event by four strokes over Colorado and Fresno State. The competition was fierce, and this year promises to be just as exciting, with a strong lineup of 16 teams and 93 players eager to claim the title.
The tournament boasts a competitive lineup, including several top-ranked teams: #22 BYU, #25 San Diego State, #32 Notre Dame, and #33 Colorado. With such a talented field, the 2025 R.E. Lamkin Invitational is set to deliver thrilling performances and showcase the future stars of the game.
