Patrick Cantlay Wins the BMW Championship Using a SuperStroke Flatso 1.0

The 29-year-old Patrick Cantlay put on one of the greatest putting performances in the history of professional golf as he survived a six-hole playoff to capture his fifth career win at the BMW Championship. The Long Beach, California native gained more than 14.5 strokes putting against the field, posting an incredible 27-under-par. Leveraging the exceptional feel, stability and feedback of the Traxion Flatso 1.0 grip, Cantlay drained a 20-foot birdie putt on the final hole of regulation play to force a playoff. After a back and forth battle across five playoff holes, Cantlay sunk a 17-footer on the sixth extra hole to claim the fifth win of his career and a tour-leading third win this season.

Cantlay will head into the Tour Championship atop the FedExCup leaderboard, meaning that thanks to the unique format of the season’s final event, he will start the tournament with a score of 10-under-par and a two-stroke lead over second place with a $15 million payday waiting for him on Sunday if he can outlast the competition.

SuperStroke was well represented across the leaderboard this past weekend with five of the top-ten finishers relying on the brand’s putter grips. SuperStroke ambassador

The Tour Championship will take place from September 2-5 at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.
