For the second year in a row, SuperStroke Ambassador Patrick Cantlay has won the BMW Championship. This year’s tournament took place at Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, Del. Cantlay played with a SuperStroke Flatso 1.0 putter grip. In the tournament, all three of the Top 3 finishers – and 9 out of the Top 15 – played SuperStroke.

Cantlay beat Scott Stallings by one stroke for the top prize on Sunday, with a 2-under 69 final round. For much of the tournament, Cantlay and Stallings were neck and neck until the final two holes. Cantlay’s total score for the tournament – 14-under 270 – has earned him the honor of being the first ever player to win the BMW Championship two years in a row.

“Patrick Cantlay is an incredibly skilled player and it was thrilling to watch him win the BMW Championship this year after his victory last year,” shared Dean Dingman, CEO of SuperStroke. “Patrick has been at the top of his game this season and it’s an honor to have him on the SuperStroke team.”

This victory at the BMW Championship is Cantlay’s eighth win on the PGA Tour and puts him in the number three spot of the Official World Golf Rankings. After this win, Cantlay goes into next week’s FedEx Cup finals projected as the number two seed behind Scottie Scheffler.

Cantlay has been playing professionally since 2012. His other recent wins on tour include the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in April with teammate Xander Schauffele and the Tour Championship in September 2021.

Patrick Cantlay’s grip is the Flatso grip, which is also the preferred grip of Jordan Spieth, another SuperStroke Ambassador. Notable for its unique shape, the Flatso grip has a pronounced 5-edge design and a wide, flat front. The grip comes in three different sizes as options for players who prefer oversized putter grips. With signature Traxion technology, like Traxion Control and Advanced Spyne Technology, the Flatso grip gives the player greater stability and control over putts.

In addition to Cantlay and Spieth, Sungjae Im favors SuperStroke as well as world-renowned putting coach and expert Phil Kenyon.
