Congratulations to Colorado native and PGA Tour veteran Wyndham Clark on his first-career victory at The Wells Fargo Championship. Clark secured a two-year playing exemption on the Tour and will be in the field at The Masters for his first time in 2024, courtesy of the three-shot win. Clark followed up a bogey-free 63 in the third round with four birdies on the closing nine to cap off a bold and composed five-birdie round of 68.
After carding top-10 finishes in five previous events this season, Clark broke through at the Wells Fargo using a SuperStroke Zenergy Tour 3.0 17” putter grip (from the brand’s new “Off the Truck” series) to race past the tournament’s deep field. By claiming the $3.6 prize purse in this designated PGA Tour event, he also became the first player to win a PGA Tour event using the new SuperStroke Zenergy putter grip.
“The entire SuperStroke team congratulates Wyndham Clark on capturing his first-career victory in dominant style with a SuperStroke Zenergy Tour 3.0 17” putter grip,” says SuperStroke CEO Dean Dingman. “It was fantastic to see how comfortable and confident he looked all week with a putter and grip combo he’s only had in play for a few short weeks. We’re also thrilled that Wyndham became the first player to use a Superstroke Zenergy grip in a PGA Tour victory. He will be the first of many to win with the enhanced feel, responsiveness, and trust Zenergy brings.”
SuperStroke brand ambassador Sungjae Im, using 1.0PT putter grip, logged his seventh top-10 finish with rounds of 69-66-68-72 to close out the tournament tied for eighth.
At 3.6 inches longer than the standard grip, the Zenergy Tour 3.0 17" – released as part of SuperStroke’s “Off the Truck” series of grips that have been developed with crucial input from tour professionals seeking feel, comfort, performance, and a competitive edge – offers golfers a range of unique benefits. Like any of SuperStroke's extended length grips, the Tour 3.0 17" can be used to achieve an armlock setup by positioning the grip up the forearm. Additionally, the Tour 3.0 17" grip can serve as a counterbalance option, extending the grip above the hands. This allows golfers to shift the weight above the hands and elevate the balance point of the putter, resulting in a more consistent stroke.
Available in White & Black and Red & Black options, the Zenergy Tour 3.0 17" Tour Series putter grip features SuperStroke’s traditional and most popular putter grip profile. The Tour Series parallel design has a uniform lower hand profile to minimize grip pressure and maintain putter head path for a more consistent stroke.
As part of Zenergy, SuperStroke’s latest line of putter grips featuring enhanced Spyne technology, the Zenergy Tour 3.0 17” Putter Grip features new multi-zone texturing, and our patented no-taper shape for unmatched confidence to quiet your hands – and your mind.
